• Work closely with the Platform and Service teams to ensure tight collaboration among the development teams
• Evangelize scalable operational practices and play an active role automating and enforcing the same.
• Monitoring automation; make sure that the correct monitors are deployed at the application level so that any failures can be quickly detected and repaired.
• Respond to support requests from development teams to assist with troubleshooting issues.
• Make sure that development teams are not blocked on infrastructure requests
• Responsible for the IT infrastructure at the HQ

• 7+ years experience in information technology
• 3+ years highly available, virtualized, cloud service delivery experience; Configuration automation and monitoring experience
• Past experience in DevOps and Infrastructure Support.
• Strong experience with back end development with Ruby
• Hands on scripting experience with automation frameworks (Chef)
• Experience with automation using scripting languages such as Python/ Perl and Unix Shell.
• Experience writing relational database queries and scripts (MySQL/Postgres)
• VMWare infrastructure management experience
• Experience with integration and automation with monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios, NewRelic)
• Experience with the administration of message queues (Rabbit MQ)
• Experience with production deployment, monitoring and operational support
• Excellent knowledge of Linux systems (Ubuntu/CentOS), Windows systems knowledge a plus.
• Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, OpenVPN etc.)
• NOSQL experience is desired
