Senior Imaging Application Engineer

Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. Performs engineering design evaluations. May develop a range of products. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 8-12 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

* The role will be responsible for developing of novel software tools and providing technical support for internal imaging applications. * Expected knowledge will include proficiency at performing various processes utilizing optical imaging, including the detection, identification, and/or classification of objects, and algorithms. * This is a unique opportunity for an individual who has a strong desire to work in world class technology organization helping to advance state of the art research into seed production processes while gaining valuable experience.

* Preferred candidates will have demonstrated experience with image processing and user interface development with Windows Forms or equivalent. * Strong experience with computer vision is a must-have. * Strong familiarity with image processing routines in MATLAB or C#/C++ or equivalent is required, and experience with multiple imaging modalities, including X-ray, and/or multispectral/hyperspectral imaging is a strong plus. * Must be able to work independently through project cycles including proof-of-concept code development, validation, refinement, and handoff for implementation. * Must be able to work in high performing teams comprised of multiple disciplines. * Must demonstrate strong results orientation. * Minimum requirements: master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in EE/CS/BME or in a related area.
