Managing Director - Forensic Accounting and Dispute Litigation

In this position you will be responsible for managing client engagements and leading the marketing efforts for the Forensic Accounting and Complex Business Litigation practice in the New York area and East Coast. You will add value to our team by having previous experience in the service line and some experience in business development within the marketplace. This position requires you to be a person with strong interpersonal, communication and technical skills.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of planning and management of engagements for a variety of forensic and litigation matters possessing the ability to direct and assist in the performance of financial analyses, forensic investigations and other engagement needs
- Build complex models to analyze economic and financial data using spreadsheets and databases
- Review and summarize client documents, analyst reports, and third party financial and industry data
- Create and develop client deliverables including research summaries, expert reports, and the presentation of findings
- Integrate with all other StoneTurn practice areas to deliver coordinated services on investigations
- Lead Request for Proposal (RFP) process for Forensic Accounting/Complex Business Litigation engagements, including the preparation of budget estimates
- Accountable for multiple priorities/projects, timely preparation and quality control of client deliverables while managing the expectations of clients to help ensure satisfaction
- Lead and participate in marketing initiatives; researching and identifying opportunities; building a client base and internal (cross-functional) relationships
- Effectively manage risks associated with engagements
- Demonstrate professionalism and foster a team-oriented environment through a positive and cooperative attitude and by maintaining the confidential and proprietary nature of client relationships and related work product
- Facilitate client and internal team meetings to document client objectives and requirements, while making recommendations and determining the best solutions
- Mentor and develop Manager, Senior Consultants and Consultants by providing timely performance feedback/training and conducting performance reviews
- Assist with engagement management administration, including billing and conflict checks
Required qualifications
- B.A. in Accounting or related field; CPA is strongly recommended
- 8+ years of strong experience in accounting or finance, dispute and investigation consulting, FCPA experience a plus
- 3+ years of management experience
- Experience in a professional services firm
- Flexibility with the potential travel requirements of client engagements
- Excellent managerial, leadership, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills, foreign language capabilities a plus
- Demonstrated ability to structure and perform technical projects, manage client expectations and relationships
- Excellent prioritization skills
- Commitment to exemplary client service delivery
