Mortgage Underwriter- Direct Hire

* Perform data Input and analysis of findings in Loan Prospector, Desktop Underwriter, Assetwise, other AUS engines, and OES * Review of credit reports to determine credit patterns, current liabilities, outstanding judgments and collections. * Review of residential mortgage appraisal forms 1004, 2055, 2065, 2075, 1025, 1073, 2000, and AVM’s. * Calculation of Loan to Value ratios. * Analyze income from salaried, commissioned, self-employed, investments, fixed income sources. * Analyze assets statements for all types of asset accounts. * Reconcile findings with published guidelines to address/resolve variances. * Meet department performance standards. * While performing the duties of this position, the employee will view, have access to, and work with confidential financial data. The employee in this position must adhere to strict confidentiality policies and procedures. * Perform related duties as requested.

**Entry - Mid Level** * Two (2) years or more Real Estate underwriting experience * Four (4) years or more Real Estate or Origination Processing experience will also be considered * Passing score on the underwriting pre hire test * Experience with AU systems * Four (4) years or more Real Estate underwriting experience * Passing score on the underwriting pre hire test * Experience with AU systems **Sr. Level** * Six (6) years or more Real Estate underwriting experience * VA/FHA Certification strongly preferred * Underwriting Certification Required * Passing score on the underwriting pre hire test * Experience with AU systems * Advanced knowledge of the industry and Fair Lending processes, products and services * Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaches, mentors or otherwise helps others to improve their knowledge and skills **Strong knowledge of basic underwriting skill set (analysis of credit, income, assets, collateral, and guidelines)** * Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions * Excellent communication skills both in writing and verbally. * Exhibits results-oriented attitude and behavior to accomplish business goals * Able to interact with all levels of staff and management. * Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. * Able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines. * Able to multi-task, problem solve proactively and think creatively. * Ability to perform according to standards and guidelines. * Ability to meet licensing requirements (S.A.F.E. Act).
