Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities: Working with the Quality Team on IV&V (Independent Validation & Verification) of the software Steritech IT builds, customizes or configures, including line of business solutions for clients, such as OnBrand360™ and Enterprise applications. This includes: - Leading /Participating in automated testware development, including test plans, scenarios, cases and scripts - Executing automated functional, integration, regression, and performance testing - Managing testing schedules and reporting status and progress to Quality Manager - Maintaining functional and performance regression test suites - Integrating automated test suites into build processes - Collaborating on quality control including monitoring systems in production - Participating in SDLC planning on SLA risk assessments - Participating in specifying testing scope, approach, and coverage during requirements phase - Participating in test plan estimation, including testing WBS - Participating in continuous improvement of quality assurance processes - Training team members on maintaining automated tests

Required Degrees and Experience: (Must possess one of the following): - Bachelor's degree in Technology or related field with two (2) years of software testing experience - Associate degree in Technology or related degree with four (4) years of software testing experience - Five (5) or more years of software testing experience Testing experience must be with two or more of the following technologies: - Database testing: Writing intermediate SQL queries for data conditioning & back-end validation - Automated web testing: Scripting keyword -driven test suites with selenium Web Driver or similar tool - Performance testing: scripting, executing capacity / load tests with JMeter or similar took - Web services testing: Scripting, executing SOAP / REST / HTTP-based service tests with SoapUI - Language(s): experience coding in SQL, Java, VBScript, Ruby or Python Preferred - Mobile device and applications testing experience - Security testing experience - Technical testing experience with Firebug / proxies - Automated testing certification (CSTE or CSQA)
