We currently have an opening for an Ingest Operator.
Responsibilities
* **Overall:** manage, categorize and direct all incoming assets as they are handed off from Data. * Responsible for extracting a copy of each original asset turned over by a client or an external vendor and injecting it in to an active, artist accessible location on the studios servers. * Accountable for accurate reception of new assets, as well as effective and efficient digital notification that each asset can move forward in the pipeline. * Generate weekly reports Turnover Trackers and Change Logs for accounting and client reporting purposes. * Tag all incoming assets as deemed by production. * Report any issues with incoming assets to Ingest Manager. * Kickoff deliveries when prompted by Production. * Work with Render and Pipe to help resolve any issues that arise during the process. * QC delivery packages – manifest, QTs, DPXs. * Send upload requests to Data and notify respective teams and/or client when complete.
Ideal Candidate
* Thorough understanding of CG production pipelines, software packages and post-production preferred.? * Editorial understanding and background desired. * Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail. * Must be able to handle multiple changing priorities in a dynamic environment and understand how this impacts departmental schedules. * Able to communicate effectively across multiple teams with excellent written and oral communication skills. * Knowledge of Nuke is very helpful. * Knowledge and understanding of stereoscopic production and 2D/3D conversion a plus.
