Summary
The Media Supervisor role at SMG PM is a mid-level management position focused on servicing clients in the creation, execution and monitoring of media plans or on negotiating with external vendors to secure the best investment options in a variety of mediums to maximize clients’ reach to targeted consumers.
Responsibilities
* Own tactical plan development, recommendation building and negotiations across their respective channels (in this case Search and Digital) * Develop program/vendor guidelines & budget allocations by vendor * Analyze data to inform purchase * Lead and manage negotiations * Help write deck and present recommendation to client * Oversee day-to-day campaign execution and is responsible for ensuring campaigns deliver on KPIs * Collaborate with Technology Activation team to develop campaign reporting * Acts as the channel expert for the team, having heavy communication with the marketplace and developing POVs * Support development of strategic approach and experience design by delivering channel ideas and providing the link to reality of historical performance and in-market opportunities * Responsible for management and development of Associates
Ideal Candidate
* You have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. If your degree is in marketing, advertising, communications, applied mathematics or consumer insights or related field, that’s a plus * You have 3 or more years of related work experience (ideally a strong background in search and digital for this role) * You have strong quantitative and analytical skills – you can detect and translate a story behind numbers/data * You have excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to translate and present complicated ideas in a simple, and easy to understand yet inspirational /creative style * You have exceptional critical thinking and problem solving abilities – ability to think unconventionally in proposing potential solutions or opportunities to issues * You demonstrate strong detail orientation and organizational skills * You display effective negotiation and influence skills – steeped in required industry, brand, and competitive knowledge * You have proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects effectively and work well under pressure to deliver high quality work within tight deadlines * You display a strong team orientation * Project/process management orientation * You demonstrate a strong learning orientation and lean in to new opportunities and are willing to challenge status quo * You display an intrinsic passion for new technology/digital gadgets; and utilization of social media tools to engage and inspire new solutions for clients * You have proven experience effectively coaching and developing others * You are highly proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word as well as other equivalent programs and as appropriate specific industry tools and technology
