Summary
We're looking for a Senior Designer to join our global creative studios in Seattle. You’ll work in a collaborative environment to help drive the success of one of the world’s most recognized and beloved brands. Primary assignments include conceptualizing, developing and presenting campaigns for use in Starbucks stores all over the world.
Responsibilities
* An innovative and strategic thinker who exhibits a relentlessly creative thought process * Impeccable design skills and aesthetic sensibilities * Strong leadership skills for supporting the development of multiple small- and large-scale projects and campaigns * Ability to mentor and provide direction * Ability to collaborate with writers and other designers * A strong foundation in concept development, graphic design, typography, composition and layout * Outstanding communication skills—ability to eloquently and passionately present a creative point of view and design direction * Someone who actively seeks feedback from other creatives and managers * Someone who openly shares project status with creative directors and project managers * An insistence on adhering to creative strategy (including budgets and timelines) based on the project brief, creative criteria, brand attributes and expected production values * Ability to coordinate with outside collaborators including illustrators and photographers * An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating outstanding conceptual/visual/graphic design solutions * Valuable but not necessary: Extensive travel, living abroad or experiences working with companies based within Europe or Asia
Ideal Candidate
* 4–6 years of professional experience with a design firm or advertising agency * Strong organization skills—ability to manage multiple versions of layouts * Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines within challenging time frames * Expertise in Adobe CS, knowledge of digital prepress and print production processes
