Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse is responsible to assess and monitor medical concerns, review, provide nursing care, and collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners.

Essential Responsibilities:

Activities include but are not limited to the following:

• Monitor and assess medical concerns of participants

• Complete all required documentation and reports quarterly and annual medical reviews and charts

• Provide nursing and medical in-services to staff

• Provide “on-call” telephone coverage as needed

• Participate in activities as part of the treatment team that may include meetings, trainings, and committees

Requirements Qualifications/Requirements:

• AAS Degree in Nursing

• Current RN license

• Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel)

• This position has substantial unsupervised or unrestricted physical contact with individuals receiving services and is required by law to be fingerprinted for a criminal history record check under OPWDD (Office for People with Developmental Disabilities) or OMH (Office of Mental Health)

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted

• Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License
