Summary
SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a systems engineer who will be responsible for providing on-site support to one of our government customers located in Chantilly, Va.
Responsibilities
- Manage technical pursuits within existing government acquisition projects - Assist government in oversight and management of program activities - Perform system definition and acquisition planning for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and communications system development programs directly supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence community - Analyze requirements obtained or derived from customers and other vendor specifications; draft and review system specifications and other design-related documentation; participate in hardware and software design reviews and technical meetings - Participate in demonstrations of new technology; including demonstration development, maintenance and scheduling, defining technology roadmaps and defining technical elements of strategy - Monitor the development, testing and modeling work providing a review of the system performance needs based on Joint C4ISR operational experience, including C2, ISR management, Military Communication Systems Engineering, security engineering and national systems development - Participate in exploring the application of commercial technology to meet customer requirements; including architecture and requirements definition and interfacing with subcontractors and other engineering disciplines - Support marketing activities; including proposal development, scheduling, cost estimating, new business briefings and demonstrations - Support installation and testing of new system components - Define and execute independent system acceptance tests - Collaborate with a diverse group of organizations across multiple disciplines, including RF, network and electrical engineering, computer programming, scheduling, risk, readiness, security
Ideal Candidate
**Position Requirements** * A bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or computer science * Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in one or more of the following disciplines: communications systems acquisition, communications systems development, communications systems operations, digital communications, antenna design, software engineering and network engineering * Highly motivated and able to manage and track multiple diverse concurrent tasks while regularly and clearly communicating and collaborating with other members of the program management team and other program organizations and stakeholders * Must have clear and confident communication and presentation skills * Approximately 15% percent travel required **Preferred Requirements** * A master's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or computer science **Security Requirements** * Must be a U.S. citizen. An active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and current CI polygraph are required.
