Senior Cost Estimator

SRC, Inc. is a not-for-profit research and development company with more than 55 years of experience in defense, environment and intelligence. SRCTec, its subsidiary, offers manufacturing and life cycle management for complex electronics systems.

SRC is currently seeking a senior cost estimator. In this role, you will lead cost proposal activity from inception to contract award on multiple types of proposals

* Lead cost proposal activity from inception to contract award on multiple types of proposals: time and material, firm fixed price, and cost plus. * Ensure proposal meets request for proposal and customer requirements working in coordination with program managers and contracts office. * Develop proposal work breakdown structures in coordination with financial analyst, program managers, and contracts office. * Ensure accuracy of proposal deliverables to pricing system. * Work with responsible individuals on basis of estimate formatting, rationale, and input. * Ensure accuracy with proposed indirect rates and approved average labor rates and calculations. * Ensure proposals meet Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements and will sustain government audits in coordination with compliance and contracts offices. * Assist with proposal audits. * Assist with Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) documentation and updates. * Assist cost estimating manager with ProPricer administration and maintenance. * Compile costing data for cost reviews and other reporting requirements. * Model and analyze costing and pricing scenarios in collaboration with proposal manager. * Build statistical predictive models in support of the developing estimating metrics. * Develop training materials and conduct training related to Cost Estimating procedure and Basis of Estimate (BOE) generation. * Assist in the development/updating of SRC’s Cost Estimating procedures, forms, and reference documents. * Assist in the generation/monitoring of SRC’s average direct rate calculation

* Bachelor’s degree in a professional specialty such as business administration, accounting, finance * Six or more years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. * Knowledge of Microsoft suite applications with strong background in MS Excel. * Team player with excellent organization, communication, interpersonal skills and positive attitude. * Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast moving environment. **Preferred Requirements:** * Background in statistical modeling * Government costing and pricing experience * ProPricer experience * Familiarity with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) **Security Requirements:** Must be a U.S. citizen.
