Summary
Provides radio frequency (RF) and/or wireless transmission design. Designs, plans and oversees installation and maintenance of wireless radio communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout, parameter definition, and ancillary equipment. Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures. Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.
Responsibilities
* Validating the test scripts for the neighbor add/delete features used in the cSON GUI in the vendor OSS. (Nokia NetAct, U2000, AceManLSM, ALU SAM, Ericsson EMS, Netspan) * Define parameter mapping for eCSFB and neighbor addition for the cSON platform * Monitor KPIs for the FIT markets using Tableau/PRTS * Troubleshooting X2 and S1 connectivity issues between vendors * Testing the cSON features in the Sprint Test Lab and in production * Monitor sector level LTE, CDMA KPIs to troubleshoot top offender sites on a daily basis * Perform parameter trials to improve the LTE CFR, CDR, Inter and Intra HOSR, Load balancing, mitigating the interference present in the 800MHz band, cell selection/re-selection * Analyze drive data for the cluster optimization drives and customer complaint areas
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree and four years related work experience or eight years related work experience post high school * Three years RF engineering experience working with radio communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout and parameter definition * Two years project management and project implementation experience **Preferred Qualifications** Five years experience working with routers, bridges, concentrators and switches
