Summary
Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences utilizing established mathematical/statistical methodologies. Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. May directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using internal reporting tools. Provides consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues.
Responsibilities
This position is a key building block for a brand new team within the Finance Operations organization. As a founding member, you will be responsible for shaping the Business Intelligence infrastructure of the Lease Analytics team. This role will be responsible for translating business problems into elegant Visualizations that organize KPIs and trends into meaningful drivers of the business. You will leverage a variety of technical tools to access disparate data sources to measure and explain financial implications of the device lease portfolio to key stakeholders. The ideal candidate must be adept at using data mining techniques to perform ad-hoc analysis by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting large amounts of data. This role will also help lead cross-functional engagements to leverage Business Intelligence best practices and enterprise-wide adoption.
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree and eight years related work experience or twelve years related work experience post high school * Five years experience with analytics toolsets (e.g., SAS, SQL, Micro Strategies, etc.) * Five years experience designing business intelligence analytics and relational data structures **Preferred Qualifications** * 7+ years of experience with relational databases (Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, DB2, etc.) * 5+ years of experience with 1 or more Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Cognos, etc.) * 2+ years of developing insightful Visualizations * Experience with MicroStrategy and/or Microstrategy 10 certification * Visualization expertise: The ability to visually assimilate data in a meaningful and digestible format * Experience working in a UNIX, Linux, or Hadoop environment
