Summary
* Spredfast is on the hunt for top-notch front-end developers to join a powerhouse engineering team in our downtown Austin headquarters. * But it’s not all about the tech; we also look for people that want to join a community. Our home-grown culture features lots of great perks, but most importantly is an environment that thrives on challenging ideas, embracing teamwork, sharing knowledge, and transparency.
Responsibilities
Create visually exciting and high profile social experiences for some of the world’s largest entertainment and retail brands, with the latest web technologies available. Our most common stack is LESS/Handlebars/Backbone with jQuery/Underscore, but we need someone who can pick (or build!) the right tool for the project at hand. You will be the technical muscle of a collaborative team dedicated to a project and will be responsible for building an entire fully functional experience along with advising the client on industry best practices. Additionally, you will work closely with other members of the engineering team to create enhancements and new products/tools for use within the Spredfast platform.
Ideal Candidate
* 4+ years of experience developing cross-platform web UIs * Excellent understanding of Javascript fundamentals and modular development * Top-notch CSS skills - the modern-er the better * The ability to completely own the technical side of a project: defining requirements, influencing UX/design, architecting the solution, and communicating with the customer during the whole thing * Pure enthusiasm for creating new things on tight deadlines * A portfolio/showcase of recent examples with code **What is also cool, but not necessary:** * Node.js / Rails experience * Not afraid of Photoshop / CS * Knowledge of LESS, Handlebars, RequireJS, Bower, Grunt, D3/Raphael
