Industrial Designer

Work within Sportech’s industrial design department to ideate and sketch new concepts for given projects Design problem solving using sketching (digital and hand), model making, and CAD programs (Solidworks, Alias)

Must be very comfortable with A-side production surfacing in Solidworks, being able to take a sketch and build the surfaces with minimal deviation from aesthetic vision.

Be a shared resource for our engineering teams to use as a CAD modeler

Apply, prepare, and present innovative problem solving skills to progress new product concepts and technologies as needed

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Industrial Design (preferably Automotive or Transportation design experience)

1-4 years design experience in an engineering or manufacturing related environment Adobe CS proficient

Master at surfacing in Solidworks, experience with Autodesk Alias preferred

Passion for design, you have an eye for design with a strong Aesthetic vision and ability to articulate and demonstrate that vision

Experience using a database and/or a document file management system preferred.

Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with internal resources to ensure product development success

Excellent time management skills

Ability to balance multiple projects with challenging deadlines Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
