Are you a whiz-kid product manager who can whip a big idea into shape, turning a loose concept into a viable, problem-solving product? If so, we might have just the job for you! Spiceworks is on the lookout for a data-hungry, seasoned product manager ready to think BIG and rocket our research and data business to the next level. As the product owner you’ll provide leadership and oversee the strategy, development and growth of the research and data portfolio of products — giving our clients insights they simply cant find elsewhere. You’ll lead the charge to create products that deliver on their promise and create a roadmap that supports business growth. Then you’ll bring your product strategy to life by working with a cross-functional group that includes our development and delivery teams.
Responsibilities
* Act as overall business operations owner of the Data and Research product portfolio, identifying opportunities to drive growth for the combined portfolio. * Pair your data expertise with your understanding of the customer and the marketplace to define the business case for new products and develop a product roadmap that aligns with future revenue growth goals * Become the subject matter expert on Spiceworks Research & Data products: You’ll dig deep into our wealth of data to identify strengths, limitations, and opportunities and determine the methodologies and best practices that lead to innovative products * Track and manage to the success metrics for the product line, ensuring our research and data products are delivering value to our customers * Work closely with internal teams to prioritize products and product features that deliver the best value to the customer and the business * Collaborate with the development team to define the user problems and business opportunities to build the best data and research products possible for our customers * Partner with product marketing to take your products to market —helping to communicate the problem the product solves, key differentiators of the product, and the value delivered * Define KPIs and analyze metrics to inform on the success of products
Ideal Candidate
* 7-10 years of product management experience, ideally with data/research products/services and a proven track record in building products with a demonstrated ability to drive product planning, development and launch * Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research data and industry trends * High degree of both technical expertise and business acumen around research and data, including extensive knowledge of the industry, products available, and methodologies used * Comprehensive understanding of statistics and survey research, including an in-depth knowledge of custom quantitative research, products, and methodologies * Proven experience leading cross functional teams * Excellent communicator – both written and verbal – across all audiences * Knowledge of the IT/tech market is a plus
