Maintenance Technician

Speedway LLC, a leader in the C-Store industry, has a great opportunity as a Maintenance Technician.

The Maintenance Technician completes preventative and basic maintenance tasks on food service equipment, gasoline dispensers, point of sale, lighting, signs, pumps, HVAC, Refrigeration and all other station equipment as required. These tasks require lifting equipment and access covers weighing up to 125 pounds; climbing ladders; descending into access pits up to 6 feet deep; crawling into access areas, under counters, and dispensers; assembling and disassembling large and small mechanical, plumbing, and electrical part assemblies and components. Job completion also requires the follow up of others and completion of necessary reports and paperwork.

• Responds to assigned work orders, schedules and prioritizes maintenance duties and work assignments for 12-20 Speedway LLC locations.
• Observes and inspects equipment to determine if servicing is required.
• Reads, interprets, and follows procedures described in service and operations manuals.
• Recommends when an outside contractor is required to handle a service problem.
• Ability to work alone and with others to accomplish team goals.

• Candidates must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
• Applicant must be available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week on an on-call emergency basis, in addition to normal work schedule.
• Works on outside equipment as required, regardless of weather conditions.
• Experience in the c-store industry working in either Operations or Maintenance is a plus, but not required.
• Previous experience maintaining fuel systems, food service equipment, HVAC/Refrigeration, electrical, plumbing and/or computer systems is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office applications is a must. Ability to multi-task and prioritize several jobs based on pre-set guidelines is needed.
