Summary
This position will be responsible for all aspects of product testing of small kitchen appliance products to ensure product performance and compliance with Product Specifications.
Responsibilities
* Assist NPD and Quality teams with returns analysis by preparing quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations. * Build test fixtures using innovation and problem solving skills * Perform high level fault analysis on products * Investigate warranty analysis for primary and secondary failure modes * Is accountable to ensure accurate test results and proper maintenance of laboratory equipment. * Perform benchmark testing of competitors' products to include comparison reporting and communicate results to Quality and NPD team. * Compile quality issue reports using standard office software, including MS Excel and MS Word * Use oral and written communication skills to update management, peers and team members of work progress and findings. Interface effectively with other functional areas. * Participate in quality review meetings to discuss test findings
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering OR Associates Engineering degree plus five (5) years experience as an Associate Engineer * Two (2) years experience working with electromechanical devices. * Advanced knowledge of motors, transformers, and AC/DC circuits as they relate to consumer products * Ability to lift 15lbs overhead regularly **Required Skills** * Extensive knowledge of test procedures and common electrical test equipment application * Ability to effectively use small hand tools for disassembly operations * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
