Ground Communications Technician

* A world-wide network of ground station tracking antennas * Ship based telemetry systems * Integration with NASA's data relay satellite network, flight control voice systems, data servers, and video * Local and remote RF and information systems hardware * Mission voice communications * Mission control centers * Communications coordination as part of the flight team during Dragon missions and Falcon 9 launche

**Basic Qualifications:** * 2+ years of experience as a mechanic, technician or construction worker * 3+ years of experience with real-time operations * Experience with electronic testing and troubleshooting * Experience with cable and harness building and repair **Preferred Skills and Experience:** * Associate's degree * Experience with testing (procedures, equipment and tools) * Experience with low earth orbit tracking antennas * Licensed electrician or contractor * Experience with voice and/or audio communication systems * Experience with facilities and related infrastructure construction and maintenance * Interest and experience operating ham radios (or an amateur radio license) * Marine experience * Ability to work independently with little or no supervision * Meticulous attention to detail, standards, and documentation
