Data Management Specialist

- Developing and implementing new applications, processes and organizational methods to help streamline, document, and standardize project deliverables. - Convert clients’ data from their preferred extract format (Oracle dumps, SQL backups, Excel documents, and ASCII files) into Solium’s standard platform, including, but not limited to: - Converting client data into SQL Server and Oracle databases using ETL tools & SQL scripts. - Performing a gap analysis based on knowledge of the client’s operations. - Validating that the converted data matches the original data. - Collaborating with a team to build solutions to real world problems using the Solium software products - Build and nurture strong relationships with local and virtual team members, including a remote reporting relationship - Providing accurate information regarding the timeliness of completion of tasks - Lead projects as necessary

- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in computer science, engineering, or equivalent - Demonstrated passion for database work - Proven ability to develop elegant solutions to complex and interesting problems - Self-motivated to produce solutions under tight deadlines - Fluent communication in written and spoken English is a must - Strong relational database experience and ETL tool experience - Experience with both Oracle and SQL Server - Strong working knowledge of SQL, pl/sql and Transact SQL - Knowledge of financial markets is considered a definite asset
