Responsibilities
- Create and implement long-term strategic design plans across all product categories and consumer targets. - Create design concepts and innovative product experience enhancements for internal and external development. - Create 3D models, prototypes, sketches, and proof of concept models that effectively communicate design intent. - Collaborate with outside design agencies and/or Universities to increase bandwidth and offer fresh perspectives. - Collaborate with Design Engineering to provide functional prototypes and presentation quality prototypes for internal and external presentations. - Participate in market research activities. Translate observations from field research and focus groups into insight summaries to lead future concept development.
Ideal Candidate
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Proficient with 3D Modeling package; Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator; Microsoft Office Suite. - Functional knowledge of injection molding, metal forming and fabrication and common assembly processes. - Must have strong creative and communication skills, manage time effectively, and build relationships across disciplines. - Ability to work in a fast paced team environment is essential, with a high degree of flexibility and tolerance of change. - Willingness to travel. - Understanding & interest in youth related sports. Education & Experience: - Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from an IDSA accredited school. - 3-5+ years experience of product design. Preferable experience designing consumer products with an emphasis on consumer interface and usability.
