Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our fast-paced Accounting team. The AP Specialist will process a high volume of both internal and external payables.

* Ensure all invoices are coded to the correct general ledger accounts and cost centers. * Interact with management and other departments for obtaining approvals for processing. * Interact with vendors regarding issues relating to invoices. * Maintain and organize filing of vendor invoices and other supporting documentation. * Process check requests and wire transfers. * Book appropriate accruals for month end close and ensure all costs have been recorded in the correct period. * Manage expense reporting responsibilities. * Assist with and ensure successful quarterly and year end audits in areas related to accounts payable. * Participate in ad hoc projects as needed.

The successful candidate must be a highly motivated and organized individual, with the capacity to perform in a dynamic environment. * 3+ years of accounts payable experience. * Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent experience. * Ability to work independently with little instruction and can adapt to change. * Excellent attention to detail. * Ability to work well with others in a team environment. * Effective communication skills and customer service approach. * Action-oriented and solution-driven and able to work in a fast pace environment. * Highly organized, accurate and detail-oriented. * A sense of humor and passion for making people smile
