Summary
We are looking for a Manager, Technical Recruiting to help lead efforts in growing our Engineering, Product and Design teams. You will play a meaningful role in finding and hiring the people who are building Slack. You’ll define and drive the strategic direction of Slack’s Technical Recruiting teams as we grow rapidly to meet the demands of our globally expanding user base. You will use your deep experience in full-cycle recruiting to lead, mentor, train and grow a solid and high performing recruiting team. Ideally, you will have experience in crafting and leading a scaled, non-centralized sourcing program for finding and securing top tech talent.
Responsibilities
* You will build, manage, and lead a collaborative technical recruiting team that can scale to the dynamic demands of a rapidly growing world-wide technology company * Develop, automate, and scale the technical recruiting function * Mentor, guide, and grow the careers of all team members * Define consistent data-driven hiring metrics and goals * Create and execute innovative sourcing strategies and recruiting campaigns * Act as a key business partner to members of the organization to improve processes for recruiting technical roles * Work closely with various internal engineering groups to understand business requirements, and consult on talent solutions * Stay connected to the competitive landscape, including trends in tech recruiting and compensation
Ideal Candidate
* You are passionate about Slack and able to speak to our technology * You have eight years of technical recruiting experience within a growing technical organization including at least 3+ years of demonstrated experience in hiring, mentoring * You also have at least four years leading a team of recruiting professionals * You have worked closely with sourcers, recruiters and coordinators * Possess strong program management skills and have extensive experience designing, assessing, deploying and optimizing global talent sourcing campaigns & initiatives * Consistent track record with sourcing, recruiting, and closing extraordinary technical talent (especially passive) * Experience partnering with Engineering and Programs to help create lasting relationships with Universities and organizations representing engineering, product and design professionals * Experience working directly with engineers, designers, product managers and other technical teams * Experience with defining and bringing to bear recruiting pipeline metrics and data * Uncommon attention to detail and follow-through in an interrupt-driven environment * Experience and proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems and other recruiting software (ideally including Greenhouse and LinkedIn Recruiter and of course, Slack!)
