Accounting Supervisor I

The Accounting Supervisor/Senior will be responsible for all accounting functions. This Position may include responsibilities for performing/reviewing and/or managing areas such as the General Accounting, Fixed Assets, Treasury, A/R, Tax and Regulatory Compliance functions. This includes the implementation and application of accounting policies and procedures, implementation of new systems and business process re-engineering. The ideal incumbent should have substantive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, practices, processes, and procedures and will be involved in continuing to laying the foundation, as well as, improving and enhancing all accounting activity.

* Responsible for continually improving the accounting processes, * Responsible for performing and/or overseeing all accounting activities (includes but not limited to banking, AP, AR, GL posting, monthly closing and reporting, etc…) * Required to record entries, process transactions, reconcile accounts, make payments, test controls, perform control procedures, * Provide a high level of ethics and integrity and follow all company procedures

* Bachelor’s Degree required with a minimum of five years of experience in Accounting / Finance * CPA preferred but not required – ideally a candidate for licensing * Ability to operate effectively in a challenging environment and with intense work load * Individual should be a strong self-starter and detail oriented * Strong understanding of technology from an industry and GAAP perspective * Travel may be required
