Summary
Skyword is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer in our downtown Pittsburgh office. This engineer will be responsible for validating new and existing features of an internet application that is undergoing rapid development. This effort will often involve juggling a number of different product releases at once and coordinating the validation effort across multiple development groups. You will work in a creative and forward-thinking startup environment. We're an enthusiastic and experienced team, passionate about building the next generation of the web. Responsibilities
* Analyze specifications and design * Implement and execute test plans to qualify an internet application * Develop automated tools and processes to assure the timely release of products * Clearly communicate defects to the appropriate development group * Provide required support to assure the timely correction and closure of defect reports
Ideal Candidate
* 3-6 years of experience in qualifying complex software systems. * Passion for Quality Assurance of end-user applications * Experience in diagnosing, reporting, tracking and resolving quality issues * Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent. * Strong knowledge of ISO, IEEE, and CMM standards and methodologies. * Experience in developing automated testing for Internet applications * Reading knowledge of HTML, Java, JavaScript, CSS, and other general Internet Protocols. * Very strong organization, communication, and documentation skills. * Experience with issue tracking software (JIRA) * Willing to travel occasionally to our Boston office. * Strong knowledge of Internet browsers, such as IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari. * Able to work in a team environment.
