Marketing Associate

Skillshare is a global learning community for creators. Anyone can take thousands of online classes or even teach a class themselves.

Skillshare is looking for the newest member of the growing marketing team. You should be highly analytical, organized, and have a growth mindset for always improving. You'll get to work on the most cross functional team helping support the acquisition and retention of students on the platform across multiple channels.

The role will be a generalist function with opportunities to specialize in certain channels and areas of the customer funnel.

• Referral Marketing: assist in growing our teacher, student, and affiliate program of blogs and influencers to drive content distribution and customer acquisition
• Email Marketing: help execute monthly campaigns and manage our behavioral lifecycles
• Paid Marketing: assist with creative and analytics for our paid marketing budget, channels, and performance
• Business Development: explore opportunities (sponsorships, partnerships, and co-marketing promotions) to increase awareness and visibility of Skillshare

• 0-2 years professional experience in a marketing or community-facing role
• You're not scared by lots of data, and you're comfortable using Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Familiarity with SQL, HTML/CSS, Google Analytics, and Mixpanel
• Exposure to creating marketing assets (Photoshop experience a plus)
• You're organized and detail focused to be able to prioritize multiple projects
• You can adapt to a fast-paced startup environment
• You're a hard worker and have side-projects or school work to prove it
