Marketing Associate

Skillshare is a global learning community for creators. Anyone can take thousands of online classes or even teach a class themselves.

The Marketing Team at Skillshare is a brand new team, so this is an exciting opportunity to join the on the ground floor as we set the team’s strategy. As our first Marketing Associate, you'll help us grow our student base at Skillshare by assisting in the execution of creative marketing campaigns across multiple channels. You'll be comfortable rolling your sleeves up, executing relentlessly, and analyzing the impact you're having.

* Email Marketing: help execute weekly emails to engage our base of over 1 million students * Affiliate Marketing: assist in growing our affiliate program of blogs and influencers to drive content distribution and student growth * Business Development: explore opportunities (sponsorships, partnerships, and co-marketing promotions) to increase awareness and visibility of Skillshare * Paid Marketing: help manage our paid marketing budget, channels, and performance * Influencer Marketing: support the Partnerships team to market new classes we produce * Content and SEO: help manage our blog and the creation of tutorials on Skillshare to drive inbound traffic

* 1-3 years professional experience in a marketing or community-facing role * Online marketing experience: you've helped execute marketing strategies online * Some experience creating creative marketing assets (Photoshop experience a plus) * Organized and detail focused: you can juggle multiple tasks with ease, pay close attention to detail at every turn, and plan ahead * Excellent verbal and written communication skills: previous experience with communications is a plus * Curious: you like looking for new insight and knowledge to inform your work * Collaborative: you're a team player open to giving and receiving feedback and working constructively with others * Mission Driven: you deeply believe in the Skillshare vision to create a community for creators
