Head of Business Operations

Skillshare is a global learning community for creators. Anyone can take thousands of online classes or even teach a class themselves.

You'll work across all teams at Skillshare to drive growth. This can include expanding to new categories or markets, improving our customer acquisition markets, or implementing business systems / processes that enable us to scale our growth efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, can handle strategic thinking and tactical execution, and leads by example.

• Manage all aspects of day-to-day operations that support growth
• Develop effective monthly, quarterly, and yearly operating plans, as well as longer-term strategies in collaboration with the leadership team and board
• Define our go-to market strategy for new categories
• Help us structure growth-related operational strategies and processes
• Work with marketing to establish customer acquisition metrics and build new customer channels
• Help triage and diagnose problems throughout the business
• Recruit and build a world-class business operations team
• Assist in preparing board decks and fundraising decks

• You have 5+ years of experience in operational and/or growth strategy in a fast-paced, high-growth environment (bonus for experience in an online business/platform)
• You’re a strategic thinker who also knows how to get stuff done: you can identify and plan for long-term aims but you also know how to roll up your sleeves and execute in the day-to-day.
• You have experience leading, inspiring, and directing a team and cross-functional stakeholders through evolving and complex growth goals
• You have great judgement: your track record shows you can balance research and due diligence with speed when making risky decisions - and you usually make the right call
• You’re highly analytical: you use metrics and numbers to focus and drive your work and the work of others
