Email Marketing Manager

Skillshare is a global learning community for creators. Anyone can take thousands of online classes or even teach a class themselves.

As an email marketing manager on the Skillshare team, you'll be responsible for activating and retaining the Skillshare community through email. This includes everything from making our emails more personalized, contextually relevant, and overall more valuable to the person receiving it! You'll work cross-functionally across all teams to make this happen and work to set clear goals for our email marketing strategy. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, organized, and uses data to uncover insights and opportunities to drive impact. You'll need to be incredibly resourceful, be adept at managing multiple projects, and have a high attention to detail to be successful in this role.

* Setting the overall email marketing strategy * Design and iterate on automated lifecycle emails that are behaviorally triggered * Build and launch weekly email newsletters for our student and teacher base * Develop a model for forecasting new user activation and customer retention * Manage retargeted advertising campaigns

* 1-3 years professional experience in a marketing or community-facing role * Experience building emails from scratch using table-based HTML * Experience creating creative marketing assets (Photoshop experience a plus) * Extremely organized and detail oriented * Clear verbal and written communication skills * Passion for marketing and picking up new skills * Ability to collaborate and work constructively with others
