Director of Recruiting

Skillshare is a global learning community for creators. Anyone can take thousands of online classes or even teach a class themselves.

Skillshare is currently a team of ~40 which we're expecting to double within the year. It's an exciting time! You'll run our recruiting team and help us bring the most talented and mission-driven individuals to Skillshare. You'll have the opportunity to work with each Hiring Manager to understand each team's hiring needs, lead the full recruiting lifecycle, optimize our hiring process, and deliver an exceptional hiring experience to each and every candidate. You'll also lead our strategy to build a strong company brand.

* Build and execute on a hiring strategy, set the vision, goals, and strategy for talent acquisition. * Develop and execute our employer brand-building strategy, especially in the NYC and tech/start-up community * Build and manage a team that delivers an unusual candidate experience. * Provide leadership, inspiration, and training to hiring managers and our current recruiting team. Train hiring managers in best practices for interviewing, sourcing, building pipelines, and landing top talent in order to meet our ambitious hiring plans.

* 5 - 7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience (at least 3+ years in-house) * Track record of quantitative success and you’re motivated by goals and numbers * High bar for excellence and quality - you always seek the best fit for the team * Emotional intelligence is through the roof: you can connect with candidates and understand their background, motivations, and potential. * You’ve shown success and adaptability in high-speed and/or high-growth environments * Rigorously organized, process-oriented, and detail oriented in your approach * Extremely collaborative and able to gracefully manage many evolving relationships * Technical hiring experience a plus
