Business Operations Manager

Business Operations works across all teams at Skillshare to drive and enable growth. We measure our success by how we get the business from X to 10X. As part of the Business Operations team, you will work closely with the Leadership team to set our strategy, drive key business initiatives, and change across the company. Example activities include assess new market opportunities, develop cross-functional operational plans, identify and monitor critical success metrics, manage our financial budget, and lay the groundwork for implementation. The job will be 20% strategy (planning, prioritization, and decision making) and 80% execution (putting plans into action). Where possible, you'll use data to help our team and the rest of the company make the right decisions. The work is highly cross-functional and requires you to work closely with engineering, product, marketing, and other teams. Some projects include building our go-to-market strategy, incubating new teams, working with marketing to establish customer acquisition metrics and building new channels, implementing new business systems to support our growth, and tons more!

* Financial modeling and budgeting * Organizational oversight including hiring plan and resource allocation * Define and track business and financial KPIs * Identify new and develop existing revenue streams * Manage investor relations * Research and negotiate strategic corporate partnerships * Interface with partners including legal, accounting, and banking

* 3 - 5+ years work experience at a top consulting firm, investment bank, private equity firm, or growing startup * Strong financial modeling skills * A structured and analytical approach * Tons of ambition * Excellent proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint * BS or BA from a top university; MBA a plus
