Summary
GSCC is looking to add a Construction Real Estate Risk Manager, likely at the Vice President level and located in one of CCC’s existing offices: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Denver or Nashville.
Responsibilities
* Interface with GSCC Origination and Underwriting teams as well as Citi Risk Managers on construction risk due diligence * Qualify and engage external consultants for due diligence reviews of construction and real estate projects including face to face meetings with developers * Review consultants’ reports and render opinions identifying construction project risks and suggest mitigation recommendations to Citi Risk Managers as well as GSCC Origination and Underwriting teams * Assess construction and development teams’ competence and capacity to complete the project * Work on Citi balance sheet, FHA, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae executions * Work with Citi Account Specialists for monthly pay application review and approval * Work with Citi Risk Managers on specific projects which may include portfolio reviews, updating of credit processes within the portfolio, audits and other regulatory reviews * Adherence to Citi and Agency credit policies, bulletins and product programs
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor Degree in Architecture or Engineering * Candidate is required to have at least 5 years construction loan management or underwriting experience, preferably in the affordable housing industry. * FHA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac construction oversight experience preferred * Individual must have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage priorities for loan closings.
