About Signifyd
More than a decade ago our founders got started building a new category of products at PayPal and FedEx to protect online retailers from fraud. We found that existing solutions only provided retailers with a cryptic score and relied on human expertise alone to ultimately decide whether or not to accept a transaction. We soon realized online retailers were in need of a simple yes or no decision, but such a product did not exist, and Signifyd was born.
Summary
Our engineers build systems that catch bad guys. Using all available payment, user, and machine data, we have to separate legitimate credit card transactions from fraudulent in under 400ms. That means doing just-in-time mash-ups of internal data with external APIs and reducing it all into a single score with a few critical insights for end-users. To solve this problem, we're looking for world-class engineers who are eager to learn, adopt, and contribute to a reactive style of programming.

Ideal Candidate
* Prior Experience in leading devOps teams * Previous experience supporting a high traffic 24/7 SaaS product * Be proactive, multi-task efficiently, be detail oriented, work well in a team and individually, and lead by example * Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills across the full stack to identify and resolve production issues in a timely manner * Strong skillset with Linux administration, performance monitoring and debugging tools * Strong understanding of build systems (e.g. Gradle, Bazel) and orchestration/automation tools (such as Chef, Ansible or Salt) * Good background in networking, server hardware, cloud services, and virtualization (Docker) * Good programming skills * Good experience with AWS * BS in Computer Science or related technical field
