Senior Software Engineer

Shopify is a leading cloud-based, multichannel commerce platform designed for small and medium-sized businesses. Merchants can use the software to design, set up and manage their stores across multiple sales channels, including web, mobile, social media such as Pinterest and Facebook, brick-and-mortar locations, and pop-up shops. The platform also provides a merchant with a powerful back-office and a single view of their business.

As an engineer developing our platform you will be focusing on making Kit increasingly more impactful for Shopify merchants through new abilities, expanding our API allowing third party developers to empower Kit with new skills, and making Kit accessible to our merchants on more messaging apps. You will own everything you build, being responsible for architecture decisions, errors, and scaling your solution to meet customer demand.

• 2+ years professional Ruby and Ruby on Rails experience
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Sidekiq, and delayed jobs
• Familiarity with Git, RSpec, and Capybara
• Experience integrating external API's
