Senior News and Entertainment Editor

The Senior News and Entertainment Editor will be a key member of StyleCaster’s editorial team, working closely with the Site Director to lead our up-to-the-minute coverage of breaking entertainment and celebrity news. The ideal candidate should possess a strong, sophisticated, modern voice, as well as possess an acute awareness of the digital space, be able to thrive under tight deadlines, and have the ability to approach celebrity news with wit and—when applicable—a critical eye.

• Conceptualize, produce, write, assign, or otherwise oversee a minimum of 4 stories per day
• Maintain monthly editorial calendar
• Liaise with photo/design teams to conceptualize artwork, schedule and execute original photo and video shoots
• Manage freelance contributors
• Ensure Entertainment vertical meets monthly traffic goals
• Represent StyleCaster at events when appropriate

• An unmatched knowledge of the modern millennial women's entertainment space
• Exceptional skills in editing and packaging stories with a tone that's snappy and conversational, yet highly informational and accurate
• Well-versed in digital strategy, analytics, and SEO
• A broad network of exceptional writers and contributors, as well as a strong roster of contacts within the industry
• A proven ability to perform under high-pressure conditions
