Infrastucture Architect/Engineer

The IS Infrastructure Architecture team is responsible for all principles, policies, and standards as it relates to IS infrastructure technologies employed across the Sealed Air enterprise. In addition, the team plans, strategizes, and sponsors re-usable enterprise services that seek to optimize technologies that are aligned with the needs of the business. The objective of this position is to establish architectures, designs, and supporting technology standards across a broad spectrum of areas including physical and virtual compute platforms, infrastructure hosting platforms, storage platforms, networks, and database technologies.

* Sponsor, develop, and model enterprise-level services and related reference architectures. * Deliver actionable infrastructure designs, standards, and patterns in collaboration with other subject matter experts. * Lead infrastructure design understanding and delivery in cooperation with Project Managers and other key stakeholders. * Lead and facilitate the creation of strategies and technology roadmaps while involving all key stakeholders. * Participate in the development of Sealed Air's infrastructure architecture methodology and practice. * Participate in or lead strategic planning efforts for key business and IT initiatives. * Define and champion standards that align solution designs to the target architecture. * Recommend and influence new and improved architecture best practices and processes.

**Required:** * 4 year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or related functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience. * 10+ years of professional experience in the field of Information Technology. 3+ years in an infrastructure architecture capacity within a large company is preferred. * Ability to travel 20% **Additional:** * Demonstrated experience in setting or influencing company-wide strategic architecture/technical direction. * Demonstrated ability to model, architect, and specify enterprise-level services. * Strong analytical ability, judgment and problem analysis techniques. * Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail. * Strong communication skills both written and verbal and able to effectively operate with C-Level executives. * Ability to effectively communicate abstract concepts in verbal, written, and visual forms. * Strong ability to understand client expectations and to resolve issues that may affect delivery. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with teams that are geographically distributed and work across different time zones. * Ability to distribute tasks between the team members and coordinate the tasks towards successful completion. * Self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training with a strong aptitude for delivering quality architectures.
