Responsibilities
- Design test plans, programs and script files. - Document, analyze and communicate test results using spreadsheets, database programs and CASE tools. - Test SEL software/firmware to meet specifications and engineering requirements. - Provide support to engineering staff as needed. - Accomplish software/firmware testing tasks requiring a basic knowledge of software/firmware testing processes. - Assist in implementing software/firmware designs. - Follow and improve engineering quality assurance procedures.
Ideal Candidate
- Two-year electronic technology or related associate degree - Working knowledge of modern test equipment - Experience with automated testing software and scripting - Strong writing and speaking skills - Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities - Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment - Background check results satisfactory to SEL - Ability to adhere to SEL's tobacco free workplace policy - Negative drug test result(s) - Experience in programming with C and assembly languages - Experience with Perl or Python - Experience with RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet and USB - Experience in Windows Graphical User Interface application development
