Summary
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks an experienced and professional individual to join our team as an Associate Project Manager. If you are looking for an opportunity to work on multi-million dollar projects with internal and external teams around the globe, then this position is for you!
Responsibilities
* Assist in identifying, leading and directing team resources. * Assist in planning and controlling aspects of a project such as scope, schedule, and budget. * Work under supervision to develop and manage customer relationships. * Successfully manage financial and technical aspects of projects. * Assist in proposal efforts. * Effectively use project management tools. * Work in a safe, healthful and environmentally sound manner, report accidents and unsafe conditions promptly, and perform ergonomic exercises to reduce likelihood of injuries. * Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes. * Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field * Up to two years of project management experience * Strong leadership ability and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment * Knowledge of MS Office and PM tools and practices * PMP certification or the ability to obtain certification within one year * Ability to work independently and the ability to multi-task and prioritize * Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills * Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities * Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment * Background check results satisfactory to SEL * Negative drug test result(s) **Preferred Qualifications:** * Knowledge of electric power system protection, integration and automation practices * Bachelors of Science degree * Knowledge of MS Project * Knowledge of Deltek Vision software
