Shipping Associate

The Schwebel Baking Company is seeking to fill a seasonal shipping position we have open in our Youngstown, Ohio facility. This position starts out at $12/hr. Essential Functions: To move product from the production line to load onto trailers.

• Use computerized handheld shipping system that accurately scans barcodes and communicates to user.
• Accurately pull, listen for directions, and scan product.
• Carefully load and unload product on trailers following the correct shipping and handling procedures to avoid damage.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area that is free from debris.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
• Complete job duties before leaving each day.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work any days and hours that can change on a weekly basis, these positions do not have a set schedule.
• 2-5 years experience in a shipping environment preferred.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Good organizational skills.
• Excellent ability to work with others.
• Excellent ability to follow directions.
• Must take and pass a computerized Light Industrial Skills test prior to hiring.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to constantly lift 25-50lbs.
• Exerting 50 - 100lbs of force occasionally.
