Summary
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated 3D/CG Generalist to join our team at the world's leading consumer electronics and entertainment company, based in Cupertino, California. Join a team of artists within our client's Marcom group who are tasked with creating iconic high-resolution product images as well as retouching photography to be used world-wide. Assets created by the team are deployed cross-functionally for web, interactive, and motion graphics. To be considered for this role, you will be expected to troubleshoot, light, render, and composite 3d software files at high resolutions from existing assets utilizing a variety of both 3D and 2D applications. In addition, you must exhibit advanced Adobe Photoshop skills including retouching, illustration, compositing, and a strong familiarity editing a wide variety of materials and textures. Interested candidates should be prepared to complete a series of test files designed to evaluate software skills/knowledge, eye for detail, and overall aptitude for this type of work. Candidates are required to include a website or portfolio that contains a demo reel showcasing their past work.
Responsibilities
* Produce high quality artwork in a fast-paced and fluid high-volume production environment. * Internalize team "best practices"; assist in training new team members, outside agencies, and global partners * Ability to troubleshoot & execute broad range of 3d software tasks primarily on camera setup, lighting, & rendering. Experience with modeling, texture/shading, and uv layout a plus. * QC colleagues' work
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 2 years production experience in vfx/film, games, or marketing. * Ability to troubleshoot & execute broad range of 3d software tasks including modeling, uv layout, texturing, lighting, & rendering. * Thorough knowledge of Maya (preferred), Cinema 4D, or similar 3D software. Experience with V-Ray a plus. * Skilled and experienced in compositing render layers in post utilizing Adobe Photoshop. * Strong sense of composition, light, and color. * Possess strong technical skills and ability to learn new software/techniques quickly. * Ability to thrive as a member of our team. * Strong ability to multi-task, organize, and problem-solve while keeping a calm demeanor under tight deadlines. * Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. * Exceptional organizational and analytical skills. * Detail oriented and focused on continual process improvement; must have a strong desire to learn from other members of the team, and to share knowledge and discoveries.
