Determines plant radiological conditions and provides job planning and coverage of work activities; documents radiological information obtained to maintain exposures as low as reasonably achievable.

* Samples, analyzes and documents plant effluents, meteorological data and environmental conditions to determine the impact of plant operations on the plant and the general public. * Handles, stores and ships radioactive waste generated in plant in order to minimize generation and expense, ensuring radiological information obtained is documented. * Monitors internal and external exposures and maintains records for all personnel exposed to ensure exposures are maintained as low as reasonably achievable. * Monitors status of Health Physics and industrial safety equipment and its calibration documentation and calibrates or ensures re-calibration to ensure sufficient calibrated equipment is available when needed. * Monitors and plans industrial safety activities to maximize worker safety and minimize unsafe work practices.

* Two or four year degree in Radiation Protection or Science * Navy Nuclear Power Program and two years of experience * Successful completion of an INPO accredited Radiation Protection Training Program. * Experience at VC Summer and NUF Exam
