Summary
SCA North America Global Hygiene Supply, INCO (Product Supply) business is currently searching for a Process Engineer for our facility. The position serve as the day-to-day owner of the machine processes and process control systems for the plant. Own and manage the development of troubleshooting skills of the manufacturing professionals. Act as a subject matter expert for the machine processes. Participate and/or lead in Continuous Improvement projects. Help to identify and support projects that will improve productivity, waste, quality and safety performance on a long term basis.
Responsibilities
* Support achievement of daily operating results; * Develop/train/drive a structured approach to troubleshooting and standardized work practices within the operations teams; * Develop/standardize/monitor/control process settings and train operators; * Identify/lead/support Continuous Improvement projects that will improve the long term productivity of the lines, improve quality, and/or improve safety; * Ensure proper prioritization of projects; * Support in providing day-to-day operational training and technical support to technicians; * Support the development and implementation of process control systems that improve quality, production and safety results, and encompass a long-term perspective regarding organizational needs and goals; * Work with other Process Engineers to ensure standardized control formats; * Practice, model and uphold SCA core values in all endeavors; * Perform other essential responsibilities as deemed necessary.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or other related engineering field; * One plus (1+) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience in tissue/paper mill highly preferred; * Computer experience essential, to include Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; * Needs to possess excellent communication, leadership and facilitation skills; * Must be able to multi-task effectively and work in an environment of constant interruptions; * Ability to work well with others in a team environment and to perform a variety of duties without direct supervision; * Must possess a working knowledge of statistics as it relates to process control; * Advanced structured problem solving skills required; * Ability to travel as needed.
