SRP provides electricity to more than 1 million retail customers in a 2,900-square-mile service area that spans three Arizona counties, including most of the metropolitan Phoenix area (known as the Valley).
Summary
The IT Rotational Analyst Program is recruiting recent college graduates in areas of computer science, computer systems engineering, information technology or related information science major. The two year program provides a unique opportunity to gain critical business skills while rotating through a variety of technical areas. The program provides on-the-job training as employees complete four, six month rotations as directed by program Steering Committee. The IT Rotational Analyst (RA) will receive training and work experience in the fundamental skill sets of each rotational area which include Infrastructure, Security, Software Development and an elective. The RA will be assigned a Management level mentor for the duration of the two year program. Management mentors will monitor progress, provide guidance on navigating professional situations, and advise on selection of strategic rotational experiences. In addition, a Subject Matter Expert (SME) mentor will be assigned in each rotational area. SME mentors will provide consistent technical guidance as well as monitor skill development and learning pace. The RA will be given assignments of increasing levels of responsibility in relation to their experience and acquired knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform IT work in Software Development, Infrastructure, Security and Information Management - Acquire technical knowledge in each rotational area and apply knowledge to complete assignments - Work collaboratively with departments to effectively communicate progress and performance - Identify trends and root causes of challenges, determine solutions, and make recommendations for management consideration - Apply SRP and IT processes/methods, practices and techniques to deliver solutions - Participate in educational sessions that will help assist in career development - Collaborate daily with experienced professionals and mentors
