Summary
The Senior Email Compliance Specialist will act as the subject matter expert in email deliverability and strategy to resolve deliverability issues, effectively implement and manage optimized processes to ensure strong deliverability, and to define and implement best practices. The Senior Email Compliance Specialist will be accountable for building and maintaining relationships with ISPs to provide optimal deliverability for Sailthru’s 400+ clients around the world. Part of an intimate team of collaborators and reporting in to the Senior Delivery Manager, this role is perfect for those who pride themselves on guaranteeing consistency and reliability, both to the company and to its clients.
Responsibilities
* Enforce email privacy and permission email standards for clients, including compliance ownership for EMEA and APAC clients. Manage the identification and research of list violations, compliance, and privacy issues and work with client-facing teams to ensure clients resolve issues. * Operate with the Senior Delivery Manager to coordinate and respond to deliverability issues, including ISP relations as well as client and support escalations. * Analyze deliverability data to establish recommendations for deliverability improvement (both for internal and external needs). * Maintain a deep and up-to-date knowledge of the email industry and as it relates to email delivery. Prepare and disseminate updates to internal teams as appropriate. * Participate in industry groups and roundtables and attend conferences such as EEC (Email Experience Council) and MAAWG (Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group), In order to maintain a deep and up-to-date knowledge of the email industry and as it relates to email privacy and compliance in the US and globally. * Maintain CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional) certification and participate in IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals) calls and events for Sailthru. * Proactively manage privacy audit, data collection, data transfer, data governance and adherence with governments to include latest developments in US and global legislation. Identify and mitigate ongoing risks.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology-related field * Current CIPP certification and 7-10 years experience in working with ISPs on deliverability-related issues and with spam filtering technologies * 7-10 years experience working with email technologies including MTAs, authentication, feedback loops and whitelisting. * 7-10 years experience working with email privacy and compliance issues * Strong analytical, problem solving skills and attention to detail * Strong verbal and written communication skills
