Responsibilities
Sailthru is seeking a Digital Marketing Strategist to join the Analytics + Optimization team. This individual will serve in a cross-functional capacity, working closely with the account management and product management organizations. S/he will work closely on optimization projects for Sailthru’s top tier clients, acting as an internal voice of the customer in understanding customer needs from a marketing/analytics perspective and serving as an outward evangelist for Sailthru’s entire product suite. S/he will work on quantitative deep dives, strategic roadmaps and rigorous testing plans for our ecommerce and publishing clients, evaluating customer behaviors and driving CRM strategy, execution and analysis tailored to our clients’ unique needs and business models. This is a great opportunity for someone with a proven track record in analytics and comfortable in a fast-paced and data-heavy environment. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, flexibility and an ability to form opinions based on the data are crucial to the success of this role.
Ideal Candidate
* 2 or more years of relevant experience (marketing, analytics, campaign management, market research, or a quantitative type of function) * Strength and comfort using both Excel and Business Intelligence tools * Analytical and creative problem solver * Ability to learn new software, reporting tools and processes quickly * Familiarity with customer segmentation models * Ability to prioritize, self-manage, and seek help when necessary * Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills * High attention to detail, proven ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines * Understanding of basic statistical concepts including significance testing and regressions * Personality that thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment * Familiarity with Google Analytics or similar web analytics packages * Experience building presentations that are coherent, well-organized and compelling * Confidence in presenting to large groups, including executive-level stakeholders * Comfort working cross-functionally, coordinating disparate projects and managing a multitude of details * Bachelors degree in a related field
