Network Engineers- TACNET Job

SAIC is looking for Network Engineers to support the Tactical Networks (TACNET) Computer Network Defense-Operating System Environment (CND-OSE), and Host Based Security System (HBSS) installed in support of the CANES, ADNS, and legacy networks such as CENTRIXS, ISNS, SCI Networks, and SubLAN. Candidates will interface with Active Duty personnel and US Government employees to provide top notch sustainment and repair support with a focus on network security in support of the United States Navy. Network Engineers will provide Information Technology support in a fast paced, high energy environment. Candidate will provide system life cycle systems engineering support for our customers at SPAWAR and SPAWARSYSCEN San Diego. The position may require some travel, less than 20%, both US and international in addition to off-hours support. Candidates will also need to provide root cause analysis and be comfortable recommending permanent configuration changes when necessary. Support will encompass a range of capabilities, from system grooms, to service life extension implementation of emerging information assurance technologies, ECR testing and tracking, implementation procedures development, EOL analysis and solution development, technical documentation revisions, and baseline testing. With information technology constantly changing, specialists must stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and the potential effectiveness of these advancements in their current system. We are looking for candidates who are able to analyze issues in an Enterprise LAN Shipboard Environment to determine the best course of action for resolution. Candidates will also need to provide root cause analysis and be comfortable recommending permanent configuration changes when necessary. Candidates will work in cooperation with external partners, including consultants, agencies and vendors, to arrive at the most appropriate system or integration of multiple systems. With information technology constantly changing, specialists must stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and the potential effectiveness of these advancements in their current system. Candidate will also need to provide root cause analysis and be comfortable recommending permanent configuration changes when necessary. Candidates will also work in cooperation with external partners, including consultants, agencies and vendors, to arrive at the most appropriate system or integration of multiple systems. * Support technical resolution and problems * Perform senior system administration on specialized applications and systems (e.g., anti-virus, audit/remediation), to include installation, configuration, maintenance, and backup/restoration * Support onsite fleet technical assistance in an effort to correct high priority casualties * Perform computer network defense (CND) threat analysis and reporting * Develop implementation and solution remedies and procedures

* Bachelor’s in CE, CS, TM, IS, IRM, IT or in a similar discipline; Master’s desired. * Certs: IAT Level II, CCNA, MCSE * Must be able to obtain Secret Security clearance * Positions contingent upon contract award * Candidates selected must meet eligibility requirements.
