Summary
SAIC has a career opportunity for a Mission Support Administrator located in Albuquerque, NM. The candidate selected for this position will become a full time employee with full benefits available. Must have (at a minimum) an active DOE L or DoD Secret to be considered for this position. SAIC is seeking a highly motivated and self- driven individual with a background in Windows Desktop and Server Administration for the Design Engineering Support team. Selected candidate will be participating on a team dedicated to the IT support and Infrastructure of a Design Engineering customer base while interfacing with other enterprise IT organizations. Candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting centralized and distributed physical and virtual Windows desktops and servers by applying technical and operational knowledge to configure, operate, and maintain information processing and telecommunications systems and analyzing performance statistics to support tuning, automation, and optimization activities.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing ITSM for all planned and unplanned customer work including work details, time, proper close codes to ensure customer metrics accurately reflect your level of effort; - Developing and maintaining a standardized hardware configuration for engineering customers; - Developing and maintaining a standardized software configuration for over 1,000 customers; - Envisioning and implementing ways of improving current operations including building SOPs, checklists, and scripting manual efforts; - Interfacing with other organizations to effectively establish, maintain, and troubleshoot issues experienced by mission customers; and - Implementing, enforcing, and validating Cyber Security requirements including security reviews, audits, and policies.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years) and 2+ years of Information Technology experience. - Strong experience in Windows Operating Systems including management and troubleshooting (system setup, integration, account management, file services, backup/restore, license management, print and application hosting, end-user application support). - Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are also required.
