We are seeking a Traveling Per Diem Pharmacist for various settings including: Retail, Outpatient, Long Term Care, or Independents in and around the Reno, NV area. Job Responsibilities in Community Retail and Long Term Care settings:
- Establishing or maintaining patient profiles, including lists of medications taken by individual patients
- Maintaining proper storage and security conditions for drugs
- Answering telephones, responding to questions or requests by patient and Pharmacy Technicians
- Prepackaging bulk medicines, filling bottles with prescribed medications, and typing and affixing labels
- Mixing pharmaceutical preparations, according to written prescriptions
- Verifying prescriptions and counseling
- Assisting customers by answering simple questions, locating items, or referring them to the pharmacist for medication information
- Area: Flexible availability and ability to travel in the Reno, NV area.
- Licensure requirements: Must have valid, open and active Nevada Pharmacist license
- Education: B.S. or Pharm D
- Years of experience: 1+ year(s) of recent pharmacy experience within a retail setting. To be scheduled for Hospital Inpatient pharmacies, you will need 1+ year(s) of Staff or Clinical Pharmacist experience.
- Schedule: Varies, weekends/holidays may be needed
- Pay: Depending On Experience
- Background/drug requirements: Ability to successfully complete background check, and drug screen
- Expenses covered: Meals, Miles, and Lodging with prior approval with distances travelled over 100 miles
