Public Relations Lead

- Develops and leads the implementation of the domestic PR plan for the practice - Assertively seeks coverage in major publications and online media outlets - Provides timely and informed responses to media inquiries - Develops a network of media contacts to coordinate an ongoing conversation about our work and our people - Identifies opportunities for press releases and media alerts - Promotes our people as thought leaders by securing speaking engagements and by-lined placements - Coordinates PR efforts with other agencies and client teams - Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of our PR and social media efforts

- Degree in Journalism, Public Relations or a related field - 5 to 7 years of experience in media relations or corporate communications, in-house or agency; A/E/C experience preferred - Experience with media software and databases, such as Cision and Vision, etc. - Knowledge and understanding of current media and the needs of journalist and bloggers - Ability to work within a collaborative, creative environment with concurrent demands and ocassional quick-turn arounds - Experience in placing and promoting content in relevant B2B publications, online platforms and social media - Proven ability to organize and lead PR initiatives, develop potent media pitches and plan strategy
