Public Relations Lead

• Develops and leads the implementation of the domestic PR plan for the practice
• Assertively seeks coverage in major publications and online media outlets
• Provides timely and informed responses to media inquiries
• Develops a network of media contacts to coordinate an ongoing conversation about our work and our people
• Identifies opportunities for press releases and media alerts
• Promotes our people as thought leaders by securing speaking engagements and by-lined placements
• Coordinates PR efforts with other agencies and client teams
• Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of our PR and social media efforts

• Degree in Journalism, Public Relations or a related field
• 5 to 7 years of experience in media relations or corporate communications, in-house or agency; A/E/C experience preferred
• Experience with media software and databases, such as Cision and Vision, etc.
• Knowledge and understanding of current media and the needs of journalist and bloggers
• Ability to work within a collaborative, creative environment with concurrent demands and ocassional quick-turn arounds
• Experience in placing and promoting content in relevant B2B publications, online platforms and social media
• Proven ability to organize and lead PR initiatives, develop potent media pitches and plan strategy
