Videographer

Rogers Media is looking for videographers to join their award winning video department. The winning candidate will shoot and edit video for a diverse group of brands, including Maclean’s, Today’s Parent, Chatelaine, Flare, MoneySense and Canadian Business. S/he will have a strong visual sense, the ability to conceptualize and communicate visual ideas, work well on a tight timeline and have a broad knowledge of news and culture, contemporary photo and video journalism, and social media. S/he will also have a broad portfolio of video work.

• Shoot and edit assignments, encompassing arts, business, parenting, lifestyle, fashion, food, news and creative events.
• Experience with DSLR cameras, audio capturing equipment and continuous lighting is essential.
• Strong video editing knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Collaborate well with team colleagues, including the Editor-in-Chief, Art Directors, Designers and editorial departments, as well as other cross-areas in order to leverage overall power of a strong multi-faceted team.

• Ability to work under pressure and rise to creative challenges under tight deadlines
• Minimum two years in a post-secondary visual journalism course or three years freelance.
